Required Software & Hardware
The STEMSEL projects seen below require specialised
software and hardware. The software package is called
ezSystem,
which provides both the ezCircuit Designer and graphical CoreChart programmer.

Please note that ezSystem is compatible with Windows XP and above.
The hardware required can be found in the links below. The STEMSEL Inventors Kit includes
the micro controller board and some of the attachable components required for the projects.

STEMSEL LCD Projects
Project 1: Voltage Reader
The Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) is an elegant way to display information and values used by the microchips. But how can we use microchips and a LCD to display messages, voltages or other important information?
Project 2: Alarm System
How can we use microchips to protect our valuables? How can a microchip know if there is a thief and what can it do when it detects one?
Project 3: Dial A Message
This project requires a board to display different messages. The user should be able to change the message manually. How can we use the kit to make this?
Project 4: Radiation Counter
When we are in an environment with radiation, we want to make sure the level of the radiation is in the safe range. What can we do to determine the radiation level?
Project 5: Reaction Test
We want to design a reaction game using the STEMSEL kit
Project 6: Clock
Design a program that displays a clock on the LCD.
Project 7: LCD Bar Graph
We are aiming to display the value of the POT as a bar on the LCD. In order to achieve this, we need to have a string 'current level" on the top line and an integr, 'X', on the bottom line.
Project 8: Vending Machine
How does a vending machine work? How can we use a POT to adjust the amount of money that a customer wants to insert? How can we use a LCD to display more than one source of information at once?
Project 9: Max Min
In this project we want to use our STEMSEL kits to design a light level display system.
Project 10: Microwave
How can we use a microchip to control a microwave? How can we use a LCD to show the countdown?
